The Freshwater Campground has stood since 1957 in a basin close to the Mesco promontory, the western limit of the 5 Terre National Park, just 200 meters from the sea. Since the beginning of the management every choice è has been made with respect for the surrounding environment, well aware of the wise dogma that the land is not è a gift from our fathers but a loan from our children. The result è today is a park with more than 175 species of trees, a green oasis that constitutes the added value with which we proudly present ourselves to our clientele. Becauseé for sure campsites moreù “in” there are all over the world, but we are real, AND we try to be Smart! Energy saving, eco facilities with heat insulation systems, 100% organic cleaning products (by the way, don't drink them, because é the boss got the wrong bottle and guzzled soap instead of beer and… was blowing bubbles), no herbicides and/or chemical fertilizer. Surrounded by nature, but not the equatorial jungle. The campground offers wi-fi everywhere so total relaxation even for web maniacs. Of course è we are also a tiny bit jealous of our garden, so we ask you to respect it as if it were your own. Although, since you have the patience to read all this pappardelle, you probably already have the predisposition to do so. We have renovated from top to bottom the bar/restaurant at the’entrance to the campground. Now access for behemoths on wheels è much easier, so hopefully we won’t have to call the helicopter to remove a trailer wedged between wall and tree anymore. When in doubt, we always advise owners of extra large vehicles to do a brief inspection. Any kind of animal è welcome, indeed, if before we had problems because of the gate being too low, now there are no more size limits with the new opening, so green light also to elephants, giraffes, sperm whales etc.. Occasionally we have problems with bipeds, but this I think has happened at least once to everyone and anyway the’entrance è wide exit as well.
