Camping Zögghof: comfort and nature for every need
Ulrich and Heidi Pirpamer's Camping Zögghof, located just a five-minute walk from the center of St. Leonhard in Passiria, has 38 pitches for caravans and caravans, eight modern and well-equipped bungalows, as well as a tent meadow with a total capacity of 20 people. The entire facility is laid out on terraces, providing spectacular views of the surrounding landscape from each pitch. This makes it an ideal destination for nature lovers, sportsmen, families, and those who simply want to relax, thanks also to the friendly and personalized service that contributes to a welcoming atmosphere.
Four-star services and infrastructure
Spread over approximately one hectare of land, the campground offers standards of a four-star facility. The 38 pitches for caravans and trailers are spacious, with areas ranging from 80 to 130 square meters, and equipped with six- to 16-amp electrical connection and TV connection. Restrooms are modern and convenient, with showers that meet the highest technical and hygienic standards. Washing machines and dryers are also available, as well as two individual bathrooms with showers and toilets that can be reserved for a fee. For those who camp in tents, the dedicated lawn allows the’use of the same toilets for a fee.
Bungalows: vacation with the utmost comfort
For those who want a more comfortable stay, the campground offers eight newly built bungalows, each eight by three meters. Each unit has a living room with a kitchenette and dining area, as well as a sleeping area with a double bed and two bunk beds. Thanks to their location surrounded by greenery, the bungalows offer direct contact with nature. Near the campground, the farm Zögghof — also run by Ulrich and Heidi Pirpamer — offers local specialties such as bacon, sausages and smoked sausages.
Outdoor activities and strategic location
The Passeiertal valley, with its breathtaking mountain scenery, mountain huts, alpine lakes and waterfalls, is a true paradise for hikers. The Zögghof campground is ideally located for exploring the Texel Group Nature Park and the 100-kilometer-long Merano High Route. In addition, the campground is directly on the Passer Gorge Trail, which connects St. Leonhard to Moos, offering a natural spectacle of water-carved rocks and multicolored boulders. The St. Leonhard-Merano bike path passes in front of the campground, following the course of the Passirio River to the Merano Thermal Baths. On the way back, a visit to the Passiria - Andreas Hofer Museum at the Sandwirt completes the experience.
